Flötefjorden - on Viking Lakes

C. Canoe Tour Flötefjorden 7 days/ca.75 km.

 

This one week round trip is ideal for people with some sporting ambitions. You will have three Portages and one Lock passage (fee), making this trip full of activities. Camping in the wild on islands, beaches or on the pre-arranged Campsites (Nature Card).

1. Day: Welcome. Briefing.

​

2. Day: From Grunnerud to the Northern situated lake Foxen with numerous island.

​

3. Day: The narrow upper part from Stora Le calls for the use of topographic maps.

 

4. Day: Pass Fölsbyn, a place of a former Viking castle, Övre Blomsjön into Nedre Blomsjön. Two short Portages.

​

5. Day: Nedre Blomsjön, with its steep cliffs and rock drawings made by the first Scandinavians. Portage to Lelång.

​

6. Day: Passing Lennartsfors with its historical Lock, into Foxen, Stora Le and direction Norway.

​

7. Day: Through the Norwegian part of Stora Le (Nature Reserve), back to Camp Grunnerud.
